A quiet rainy day does not stop the hopeful vigil that perhaps one woman will change her mind as she passes the people praying for her and her baby.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

We have had a wonderful response from readers concerning the letter from Cheryl Stowell we published in the November Newsgram. In response to questions that have come in we are printing our response to her correspondence and her answers to those questions.

Dear Cheryl,

I want to thank you for your open discussion of your experience and appreciate it that you shared it with us.

I am curious to know if any legal action was taken over the misinformation given to you by the medical professional? Is the doctor still in "practice?"

I wondered if you are active in the pro-life fight at this time, in any way. Though your experience will be traumatic emotionally to you for years to come, sometimes by sharing your experience with women considering abortion, it might help a woman change her mind and decide to keep the child.

I really appreciate your communication and would love to hear from you again.

We will be publishing your experience in our next Newsletter. Thank you again for sharing your experience and helping other women by that openness.

Asking God's blessings be upon you and yours!

Kathy Sabelko

Hi Kathy,

For starters, yes, sad to say, the abortionist and his "competent" group are the largest providers for the state of California outside of Planned Parenthood. I have never taken legal action against him. It was thirteen years ago. I am currently living in the state of Washington.

An interesting experience happened to me about nine years ago in the summer of 1986. I was upset over having had three miscarriages and the abortion and decided to have a tubal ligation. I thought at the time that I would never be able to have children. I went to a Planned Parenthood in Bellevue, Washington. I thought that the experience that I had had with Planned Parenthood in Santa Ana, California was a one-time deal.

The "counselor" kept saying that, yes, they could arrange for a tubal ligation but I was low on money. I shudder to think that I almost left myself sterile and nothing was done to intervene. Anyways, this "counselor" kept saying "When we schedule you for your abortion" or "When you come in for your abortion." I didn't tell her about my abortion experience in any way and wasn't even pregnant! Yet she kept saying about "abortion" this and "abortion" that.

She was like a programmed robot if I could describe it. It made me real suspicious about the whole system. I was over a thousand miles away from the first Planned Parenthood, and she was acting the same way.

I started to cry and tell her about what happened to me. She told me to stop crying and not to cry when I was in the lobby. She just didn't want to hear about it, thank-you. Cold hearted witch.

Anyways, I became pro-life after my son was born five weeks early. He was in intensive care for eight days and I noticed these really tiny babies and I thought to myself these could have been legally aborted, and what I was looking at was a baby. Not something so small that you "had to look at it under a microscope".

I called Planned Parenthood in New York City and they denied that they would do such a thing! It was total denial. I was really blown away when I was told that I was lying and making the whole thing up!

One day I grabbed the Yellow Pages and as if by magic the pages opened up to Abortion Alternatives. I called Human Life in Redmond, Washington. To make a long story short I wound up debating a woman who runs an abortion clinic up here called Aradia Women's Health Center. I was always curious what Aradia meant. I spoke with someone who was familiar with Marcie (the woman whom I debated). This person told me that Marcie had a bumpersticker on her car that said "Witches Heal".

So I went to the local bookstore and found an encyclopedia on witchcraft and sure enough there was Aradia. She is the daughter of Diana, queen of witches, and Lucifer, the "angel of light." Aradia, according to this book was sent down here to teach the art of poisoning people, especially "those who oppress women (children)." She comes from Tuscan folklore (in Italy).

So look at what they name their clinics after! And the idiots on the five o'clock news interview her all the time and don't have a clue. The whole thing is just so disgusting. And women buy into it. Slogans all the way, and empty ones at that.

If you're ever counseling someone and use my story, tell them that I had to get all the facts from nursing school ten years afterwards to find out just how much they messed up and if they want all the facts on abortion to enroll in nursing school, because they aren't making as much money off it as those hack artists.

Thank you for your time.

Cheryl Stowell.

Dear Cheryl,

I feel the anger and hurt that you still carry from these horrible experiences. It saddens all pro-lifers when we hear how women have been deceived and hurt.

Your courage in exposing the lies and abuse is amazing and inspiring to us. With more than 29 million women who had had one or more abortions, we must all work harder in getting the truth out to people.

I wanted to tell you that every week there are babies saved from this violence because people are out at the mills counselling and praying. This morning another mother decided to keep her 15-week-preborn baby. She and her girlfriend went back into the mill and got the blood money back. That money will now go for baby food and clothes!

Why do I share that with you? Because of your letter, more people will go out to pray and offer help to women. You are truly saving lives.

I will write again soon,

Kathy Sabelko

BITS AND PIECES

Genocide in Barbados "The center of abortionism in the Caribbean is beautiful Barbodos--thanks to global Planned Parenthood. Here they set up the second of their 118 worldwide 'Family Planning Associations.' Teens and other mothers come in from the various islands to have their babies aborted. 'Doctors' secretly kill babies in their offices, because most local people oppose abortion." Human Life International, December, 1995.

Planned Parenthood's exploitation of Norma McCorvey, Roe v. Wade's 'Jane Doe', is obvious. McCorvey was a victim of the abortion industry as well as becoming partly responsible herself for the murder of millions of children. It was her lies that helped open the door for legalized abortion in this country. Yet, when she turned toward God and life, the pro-life movement welcomed her with prayer and gentleness. The pro-aborts now worry about her being exploited by pro-lifers. Unbelievable!

"Vote pro-life, without compromise, without exception, without apology." is the theme for Life Dynamics, Inc. In their fall issue, Life Activist, they suggest, "The next time some preacher tells you that he knows abortion is murder but doesn't think the church should get involved, ask him if the church would get involved if tithers were being killed instead of unborn children."

The fifth Wisconsin abortuary to close in five years is Wisconsin Women's Health Center. Life Advocate, December, 1995 reports, "One source , who asked not to be identified, stated that the clinic's owner and abortionist, Paul Seamers, is 'in psychiatric care. He has not been seen since the closing and is apparently involved in some sort of malfeasance.' "

Abortionist Jesse Floyd died Sept. 17th in a car accident. Frank Snydle, 49, another abortionist from Orlando, FL dropped dead from a heart attack, Oct. 29th. Abortionist James McMahon known for the partial-birth abortion procedure, died Nov. 2nd from a brain tumor.

Abortionist Michael Morris was refused a re-issue of his gun permit. The Sheriff's department in Crestline, CA. were concerned about Morris's mental state. Life Advocate, January, 1996 reported, "In one letter, Morris admitted that notorious 'Dr. Allred has on several occasions both in and out of my presence labeled me a manic depressive.' "

OUR NEW CHAPTER IN MONTANA

We present a special report from Thomas Brueckner, M.S., pro-life activist from Montana. Since the time of the first printing of this report the dedicated pro-lifers in Bozeman have joined Children of the Rosary!

"There has recently been interest in forming a chapter of CoR in Bozeman, Montana. Thomas J. Brueckner, a doctoral student in the physics department of Montana State University in Bozeman, has been in contact with CoR and Kathy Sabelko over the Internet. There is a nucleus of families and students in Bozeman who share a devotion to Our Lady and pray the Rosary for an end to abortion. They have conducted Rosary vigils from time to time at the abortion mill, usually on Friday afternoons, using a photo-icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

The abortionist in Bozeman is Susan Wicklund. She has been featured on the CBS "60 Minutes" television program. Wicklund is a general practitioner, having dropped out of her OB/GYN residency program after the first year at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland. She has been a "circuit-riding" abortionist, with killings at Minneapolis, Duluth, Milwaukee and the infamous Fargo mill. She lives very low profile in Bozeman.

No one in the pro-life community knows if she does abortions in the midwest anymore or if she might be picking up extra money at abortion mills elsewhere in the US. There are 300-400 abortions per year in Bozeman; according to the previous abortionist. Most of the abortions are on women from MSU. This is generally recognized as being too few to be an abortionist's sole business."
